Capella University Employee, Mr. Scott Sathers, Missing in Bridge Collapse
It is with great sadness that we have learned that one of Capella University’s employees, Mr. Scott Sathers, has been missing since the tragic collapse of the Interstate 35W bridge in Minneapolis on August 1, 2007. The collapse occurred just a few days prior to his 30th birthday; his wife had been planning a surprise party. The media has reported that Mr. Sathers had left work forty minutes later than usual and was on his way home at the time of the accident .
According to news media reports, Mr. Sathers was a newlywed (just married last September) and was about to pick up a new car later that evening; instead, he appears to have met with tragedy.
One media source has reported that Saint Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral, of Minneapolis, is collecting donations of money to distribute to the families of those involved in this heartbreaking disaster; their contact information is:
Saint Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral
519 Oak Grove Street
Minneapolis, MN 55403

We urge all visitors to pray for Mr. Sathers, his family, loved ones, and the rescue workers during these difficult times. |
